Vision for the McCreary Football Complex

Through investments into McCreary Field House and the Sutton Sports Performance Center, donors have transformed how Wake Forest Football attracts and trains student-athletes. Visitors now immediately see that Wake Forest prioritizes hosting a nationally prominent football program.

While enhancements to facilities will likely never cease, the McCreary Football Complex - the new home for Wake Forest Football - sits as the largest remaining capital project necessary to lift Wake Forest Football to the nation's elite. By adding an enhanced Locker Room, nutrition area, recovery zone and lounge to the portfolio of facilities at Wake Forest, Coach Clawson will be further equipped to attract a new generation of recruits to Wake Forest.

A New Home for Wake Forest Football

We’re building a home fit for a Deac. Wake Forest is pushing forward with plans for a facility to address the current and future needs of our football team with a dynamic space that will foster relationships, build team chemistry and inspire greatness.

The McCreary Football Complex will provide our student athletes and staff with a state-of-the-art space that not only reflects the values of our program, but also provides countless competitive advantages both on and off the field and in recruiting. It’s a place to hang our top hats that will be unrivaled by any, where team chemistry and unity will live side by side with performance, recovery and support.

And with a little help from our friends, we can make this dream a reality.

Please note that any gift to the McCreary Football Complex is considered separate from the Deacon Club and will not apply to Deacon Club membership and benefits. Thank you!

What will the McCreary Football Complex include?

First and foremost, the aesthetic face-life of the Home for Wake Forest Football will further establish Wake Forest Football as a point of pride and emphasis within the University's list of priorities. This enhancement will serve as the next step in the transformation of the football program into a destination location for a new generation of recruits.

The complex itself will consist of a large, inclusive locker room layout, attractive graphic designs, nutrition area that overlooks the McCreary Field House, a training and recovery zone, and critical lounge space to provide opportunities for team cohesion and bonding. The goal for the project is to complete funding by February 2022 to begin construction in Spring 2022.
